Via the motorway you'll be on the ice faster than you'd get through some Graz traffic jams: from the Spielfeld border it's only 20 minutes to the rink. We provide the equipment and an introduction β you just bring good spirits and warm clothes.

How your booking works

You send your booking
Right afterwards you'll get an email with your booking request. That's the acknowledgement β it shows that everything reached us. It isn't a confirmation yet.

We check your request
We check whether there's enough room on the chosen date and usually process the booking within one or two days.

You get the final confirmation
Only with this second email is your spot firmly reserved. From then on you can count on the date.
This first email also contains all further details about the date β meeting point, equipment, costs and what to bring.

First a few balance and sliding exercises β for example with two stones or a sliding aid for support.

Next, stone and broom come together β including the proper stone delivery.

Depending on progress, skill and energy β and as soon as you're confident with stone and broom β we start playing a real game.

Getting to Maribor
It's about a 45-minute drive from Graz to Maribor, and only about 20 minutes from the border to the ice rink.
You can travel on your own or drive down with us from Graz. We're happy to arrange a ride on request β just tick the box in the form and add details (such as where you'd like to leave from) in the comment field.
Frequently asked questions
How far is it to Maribor?
From Graz it's about 45 minutes on the motorway (A9 to Spielfeld, then on along the Slovenian A1). From the border it's only about 20 minutes to the ice rink β Maribor is just across the border.
Do I need a vignette (toll sticker)?
For the motorway you need the Austrian vignette and, in Slovenia, the e-vinjeta (online from DARS, evinjeta.dars.si, e.g. as a weekly vignette). There's also a route that's only slightly longer and needs no vignette β just ask us for details.
Do I need experience or my own equipment?
No. Our coaching team explains everything on site, and we lend you stones, brooms and sliders. All you need is clean shoes with flat soles and warm clothes (gloves, hat).
Can I get a ride with you?
Sure β just tick βRide from Grazβ in the form. We'll then get back to you with the meeting point and departure time.
